This is a beautiful book! I love to read it to my son, and I even like to look at it on my own. The story is so sweet, but the artwork is really what sets it apart. Enjoy!

This is our family's favorite bedtime story

Polar bears are my son's favorite animal, and I always read him a story before bed, so when I saw this book I thought it would be perfect. The book is just the right length to hold a child's attention: short enough so they don't lose interest, but still long enough to ease them into calming down and setting in for bed. The story is very cute. Little bear is tired but not ready to sleep, so his mama takes him to look at all the other animals getting ready for bed. The illustrations are amazing and beautiful. Overall this is just a well written and illustrated book that I think most young children would really enjoy!!

Good Reading!

The Moon Pack is back with a bang. The latest book in the Moon Pack series brings model Jager to the forefront. After being thrown out of his pack for handing over all his money, Jager attempts to lick his emotional wounds with a one night stand. Little did he know he happened to pick growly tiger-shifter Ryder. Ryder may have preferred tiger-shifters in the past but one look at Jager and he knows the man is his mate. There's just a little problem of a kidnapped Alpha pair and his blind brother to deal with first.

It's been a while since I've read any books in the Moon Pack series by Amber Kell and it shows. Book 10, Judging Jager, jumps right into the thick of the action without a lot of backstory or explanation. There are plot lines half finished and others beginning and ending so if you haven't been keeping up with the series and remember most of it, jumping into book ten may be confusing at times. The ease of the writing and lack of any real intricate plot helps since the story is extremely basic without much characterization or plot. I let go of any confusion I felt, which was substantial, and just went along for the ride, as I like the flow and the character outlines.

Jager and Ryder are nominally the main couple here, but really there relationship has no substantial depth or interest. They meet, have sex, and are instantly in love and mated. They don't need to talk or explore their feelings or wants. They're mates so it's an immediate and permanent connection. Once Ryder has decided they are mates, the story shifts into a pseudo rescue of previous characters that are being held hostage in another dimension. This leads to other half finished plotlines, clearly from other books, but really is unimpressive. Basically the couple could have escaped any time they wanted to but just...didn't for some reason. So everyone walks in and walks out pretty easily without any problems. Perhaps having read the previous books in order would help with this issue since it seems important to clear up the kidnapping detail but it happens in the most mundane and almost boring way.

That's not to say the book itself is boring as fans of the series no doubt will greatly enjoy revisiting a number of characters that slide in and out of the scenes and of course the rough, hot sex between Jager and Ryder. It's an easy, almost guilty pleasure read. There are a lot of typos and head hopping between the third person narrators but I suspect no one that reads the series will mind. It's a fun, super short read with some hot sex and continues the series. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is new to the series (they should start at the beginning) but those following this author are likely to be happy.

I been waiting for this book for a while and felt that it was rushed in its writing. Pushed out and honestly I feel like the author wanted to just get it done. In the other book in the series I could feel the love the author wrote, this one I did not. So very sad... and I totally lost intesting in the first chapter.

I enjoy this book But I do not get why Kylen would mate with faro if he new it would last long. And would it kill Farro to be a way from his mate and what about Sammy he goes back to having one parent. Ryder and Jag was having fun and I like that and Steven and Dare had not so nice start but I am glad to see Steven step up to help Dare. now back to Kylen I would of like to see when farro got the news that his Kylen was not coming back and that he left him a letter saying good buy talk about heart break. may be it me but if Anthony is a god should he know what the king was up too before he took silver there he just walk in there with out taking anybody with him. who walk in to something blandly. he knew it was a trap because the king had his father. and out of all the wolfs he mark as his army only Dare went with the twins Steven Kylen Ryder Jager. I hope the next book is longer

Escapism to the extreme!

Bulletin: We now rejoin the infamous Hot Blood Series, already in progress. fasten your seatbelts -- this is escapism to the extreme. Let's not beat around the bush. This series consists of erotic horror. Erotic, as in Sexy. Horror, as in grotesque disfigurement, torture, and death. It's not "quiet horror." This might not be your cup of poison tea, says your humble reviewer. If it isn't, that's perfectly okay. Otherwise, should you feel adventurous, be advised -- these stories are, as they say, not for the squeamish. Or prudish. Or easily embarrassed. They're not stories you want people to read over your shoulder in the break room or on the bus. These stories exist to tickle your fancy and your funny bone, to present human foibles in up-close-and-personal, oh-so-revealing detail, and -- can we talk? -- to arouse you with a wink and a nudge. They are not politically correct, sensitive, or subtle. I hope I'm making myself clear.
They are so entertaining, however, that several have sold to Showtime's erotic horror series, "The Hunger."
While the stories in FEAR THE FEVER are not all hits, you'll certainly like the twisted triangle in Lucy Taylor's "The Five Percent People" and Patricia D. Cacek's Bram Stoker Award winning "Metalica," with its very needy protagonist. Tom Piccirilli's "Call It" is lean and mean, and Nat Gertler's "Restin' Piece" walks the walk of the tall-tale with ease. And if Graham Masterton's Stoker-nominated, Showtime-filmed "The Secret Shih Tan" is not the most elegantly gruesome tale I've ever read, it's a close second or third. This story anchors the collection with a panache that's hard to beat -- it's worth the price by itself, so the other good stories are pure gravy.
Strong entries from Wendy Rathbone, Elsa Rutherford, Alan Brennert, and J.N. Williamson are bound to hold your interest throughout the volume.
Another superb anthology for those of us who seek a little more edge in our fiction.

A Hot-Blood Series book which will tap that fever deep inside you, the one that lusts for blood with your other hearty appetites. This addition to the Hot Blood series is not to be missed, even better (if possible) than the previous 'Seeds Of Fear'. Beginning with Lucy Taylor's 'The Five Percent People' and ending with Graham Masterton's stunning 'The Secret Shih Tan', you won't find one boring moment in this tasty collection of horrific delights.

It's really hard to pick my favorites out of this collection, but a few would have to be 'The Secret Shih Tan', a story of a long lost cookbook and recipes that are forbidden for a reason. Bruce Jones writes a unique werewolf romp in 'Feeding The Beast', and John F.D. Tuff gives us a squishy, gruesome kind of love in his story 'Orifice'. J.N. Williamson brings us into a eerily p0rnographic art gallery with a psychic twist, in 'Two Hands Are Better Than One'. There's a bit of dark, necrophiliac humor in Nat Gertler's 'Restin Piece', and a languid feeling of old-fashioned gentility gone sour in Elsa Rutherford's 'Flesh And Blood'. And my favorite, 'Untamed $ex' by James Crawford, will take you on a truly animalistic romp of pain and pleasure.

At the end of the book are short bios for each of the contributing authors, like many of the other Hot Blood books. This collection is a definite 'must have' if you like a little blood with your $ex, or a little romance with your horror. Either way, this book is a gory treat that should be gobbled up, preferably with a nightcap before bedtime. Enjoy!

A decent read before bed

Combining horror and erotic thrills makes for a great before-bed read. This isn't the kind of book that will keep you reading all night... you can read one story and then turn over and go to sleep, content with what you've just read. It's not heart racing eroticism nor is it a horror that will make you afraid to close your eyes. It can be disturbing and thought provoking, and can capture your imagination, but I do not believe it will leave you lusting for the characters or jumping at every noise.

I love this author

Alicia Michaels delivers yet another stunning tale in her series. The characters develop in a believable way and she twist the story so you can't wait to see what happens next

THE RESISTANCE

Book 2 started off with a bang and continued with its momentum. Gage' s father ego knows no bounds. He'll sell out his own children if it means the pursuit of his own power. He is willing to let his own granddaughter to be killed. And he only let Gage live because he saw him as tool to use in his master plan. Spoiler alert, let's not forget he even sanction the the hit on his lover's family.

Furthermore I still keep keep wondering if Dax and Blythe will ever hook up. How will Blythe react to Gage not being dead? And I want to see more on the relationship of Janika and the Professor. Will the public ever find out about the government involvement with the Rejects. And can modern society ever reconsil robotic human with normal humans; even within families? This book is full of questions. I am eagerly waiting on book 3.

An action packed sequel that will leave you wanting more!

After reading the first book The Bionics I instantly fell in love with the characters and the story so naturally i read book 2 and i have to say this book was intense!!! There was so much action going on i had to know what happened next. I couldnt put this book down. The suspense and twists and turns left me begging for more.especially after that ending wahh!!
This book had me going through so many emotions. Seriously so much stuff happened I cant even get into it without giving anything away. All i can say is I laughed, I yelled, and I cried like a baby and you will too. You wont regret picking up this novel which is just as fantastic, if not better, than the original. The edgier tone will leave you breathless and dying for book 3. Definitely get yours today you wont regret it!!

Over the last few months I’ve read a lot of books that deal with the practice of Shibari (bondage), some have been very good and some not so much, so with each book I kind of have to clear my mind and cleanse my palette so I can go in without being tainted by what I’ve read before. What I love about Sweet Obsession by Kelly Jamieson is that this couple because of an incident back in their teens has to overcome some pretty big obstacles in order to get to where they are going. Yes, this book deals with the practice of Shibari but it mostly deals with coming to terms with who you are and what you need and for that I’m eternally grateful because I truly believe that many people don’t understand that BDSM practices go beyond want, it’s something many people need to feel whole. Ms. Jamieson did a stellar job of showing how having these needs mess with your head, having other people tell you it’s wrong makes you have doubts, and how refusing to be honest with yourself can hold you back from finding out who you really are. While this is a romance, it’s truly a book about self discovery and owning up to your desires.

Twelve years ago Sasha Bendel and her then boyfriend Jack Grenville were caught in a very compromising position by her parents. Sasha was 16, Jack was 18 and the next day Jack had dropped out of school and left town. While somewhat devastated that he didn’t say good-bye, Sasha after many lectures and heart to heart talks with her parents and a therapist came to be believe it was for the best that what they had done together was wrong, immoral, and bordered on abuse. But Jack is back in Chicago and wants to hire Sasha to create an outdoor garden for his condo. He wants more, but Sasha is determined to keep her distance despite the fact that her body craves what she knows only he can give her.

First off I totally get wanting to please your parents and worrying about what and how they think about you but at some time in your life, you have to grow up and stop letting them rule your life. Unfortunately although Sasha finally moved out of her parent’s home she was still ruled by what they wanted and often let them set her up with suitable men. Needless to say when Jack walks back into her life she doesn’t think she can have a relationship with him because she knows it will upset her parents and she’s scared of the things he may want from her. I understand her being cautious, I understand her being afraid but what I don’t understand is that she admits the things they did together excited her, she dreams about things he might want to do but she refuses to acknowledge she wants these things. She is one of those characters that I truly wanted to slap and tell her to snap out of it. Twenty eight years old and despite being a successful businesswoman on her own she was letting other people’s opinions cloud her own judgment.

From the first moment I was intrigued by Jack and after hearing everything that happened years ago, I admire everything he’s accomplished. I’m happy that he was able to overcome the obstacles in his life, figured out how to channel his energy, and how to accept his needs. While I felt he might have overstepped a little bit with Sasha, I understand why he did it and I think he was right to push her because she wasn’t being honest about her feelings.

While there was no doubt Jack has a dominate side I appreciate the fact that he didn’t move too quickly with Sasha and that when she got scared he backed off demonstrating the patience he was taught. I also liked that Sasha’s roommate Kevin tried to help her understand Jack’s kink and that it was okay if it was something she wanted. Kevin was an interesting character and his involvement with Jack’s sister, Emma, added some extra excitement to this story.

This was one of those books I appreciate because in addition to be a very sexy story of reunited lovers it also contains a very important message. Sweet Obsession while containing aspects of BDSM is really more about acceptance of who you are, what you need, and not being afraid to fly your kink flag proudly.

That was the most awkward, stilted, boring, poorly written books i've read in a long time. I usually love the author but the book felt like it had been written by someone totally different and much less practiced. Absolutely not worth any dollar figure much less the time.

Wow! Incredible story!

I am speechless after reading this story. I knew it would be good as I have loved most of Kelly's books. But this one was so sensual. I love Jack, even in his most alpha of behavior, because he is so gentle and tender. I love how he pursued Sasha and didn't let her run from him. Beautiful story and very well written. I would have loved a little more into the epilogue, but that is just me being greedy.

My favorite part of the book, and it isn't really a spoiler was when he brushed Sasha's hair. That was such a tender loving moment that gave me goosebumps. I cannot wait for more of this series!
